Are you Kidney-ing Me?

Hey Guys,

Me AGAIN lol

How's everyone doing? I hope all is well.

The kidney pun was intended lol.

I have a kidney stone.

Let me tell you guys so far the pain is bearable. I feel like the pain is happening more so in the afternoon/night time. I am taking medication to see if it'll help pass, but so far nothing has passed. The doc also prescribed me percocets. I have a whole story about pharmaceuticals that I'm going to rant about soon. Let me just do some research.

So far I haven't had to take any pain meds and I don't plan to unless I truly have to. I'm glad I went in to get checked out bc if I hadn't I'd probably be in the hospital for several days.

I've also stopped drinking. I am on day 9 or 10. I'm so proud of myself. Baby steps.

I'll write a post when I pass my Kidney stone. I'll even post a picture of my stone lol just kidding. I'll save that picture for a rainy day and only send it to close friends. lol

ANYWHO.

What is everyone doing for the holidays? I hope y'all are spending Thanksgiving with all your loved ones.

I have a few givings I'll be attending this year. Last year was rough with the whole split up, but I'm feeling more like myself again.

Friendsgiving will be hosted at my close friends house and I'll be making a homemade apple pie.

My sisters, cousins and I are all getting together to celebrate Thanksgiving without our parents. (not my idea but I like it)

We are also having a traditional get together with the family at my tias house. We will probably have Birria or Tamales and I'm here for it. I'll probably make some cookies or pies.

I never help cook at the tias house bc they have me beat 40+ years cooking experience and you know what I'll take the L and leave it to the experts. lol I'll stick to my baking where all the measurements are accurate and not just guesstimating.

This year and every year I'm really thankful for my kids and their good health. I'm also thankful for my family and my friends. I'm honestly thankful for a lot of things but I'm really freaking thankful for my amazing support system. Without the loved ones in my life, I have no idea where I'd be. I am truly blessed. My close ones have helped move mountains the last year and I appreciate every single individual. I truly love them and keep them close.

If I don't write on here for a few weeks, I hope you guys have an amazing holiday.

I'll also be sending out Christmas cards and if anyone would like one please let me know.
